A: Well you can upgrade you front springs by buying some lift springs from LMC Truck for $189.95…Or you can buy some HD front springs from a junkyard off a F250 for less…and even cheaper way you could get some Spring-Lox set at Auto Zone which can give you from 1 1/2 to 2inch lift for like $14something
Q: How to improve sluggish 2005 Ford F150 Acceleration?
I was wondering how I can improve the acceleration on my 2005 Ford F150, on a budget. I am considering buying a Flowmaster muffler ( not going all out on dual exhaust yet ) and I think that it would be a great upgrade for the money. I have a Ford F150 Truck and was wondering if it was legal in the sate of michigan to have a newborn car seat in the truck or if i would have to get another car with a back seat.
A: As far as I know it’s legal to have a child in the front seat of a pickup. What you may want to look into is disabling the passenger side airbag if the truck has one. Normally that’s the main reason the front seat is a problem. If you have a passenger side airbag and no means to disable it (many cars have a key’d switch on the dash to do so) you can see a certified mechanic to possibly pull the fuse to the passenger-side airbag. Be advised, however, that if you’re going to have other passengers when the child is not with you, they could be at a greater risk of injury.
If you have any more questions you can always call your local police (non-emergency line) and double check with them about the legality of it.

A: I 80 E to I 65N to I 94 E will be around 2400 to 2500 miles. Will probably be cheaper to have it hauled by a commercial Horse hauler unless you are going with the horse, to stay out of th mountains you would have to go south to I 40 then go NE through Oklahoma to Tulsa on I 35 N to I 44 E. then to I 270 S to I 255 E cross into ILL. to I 55N to I 80E to I 65 N to I 95E Which will add about 3 hundred miles to the trip.

My 97′ ford f150 broke down today, i need help. there is a a clicking at the fuse panel on the drivers floor side, it wont start, we tried jumping it but nothing, the hazards and locks still work but when i turn the key I get nothing at all xcept that clicking. Any help is appreciated. thanks!

A: There should be a bleeder screw on the slave cylinder, just have someone pump the pedal 5 times or so and crack the screw. remember (pump,hold,release and repeat) until there is no bubbles and you should be all set.

I just got me a new 2007 Ford F150. I like the stock radio, because it has built in satellite radio and an input aux line. Of coarse FM/AM Radio, and cd player too. I’d like to keep it but I also want to install my alpine system into it also. I just need help with on how to wire everything.
A: Yes you can keep your factory stereo and up date the rest of the system. Locate the speaker wires going to the factory speakers and cut them and install a high pass filter with rca jack to connect to the power amp (depending on how many speakers you want to upgrade). Also locate the antenna wire (color coded in blue from the back of the factory stereo) and connect it to your power amps) this will trigger the amps to turn on when the stereo is turn on. Replace the factory speakers with a name brand speaker (either component or coax for the front doors and back speakers) like JBL, Infinity, JL, Alpine, Boston for better quality and reliability. Run a power cable (red) from the battery to the power amps (type of wire guage depends on the power amp your are using) and put a fuse (normally 20 amp, also depending on amp requirement) on the connection. Ground the power amp (color coded in black) to the frame or metal of the vehicle. Using different wires, connect them to the amps and your new speakers making sure they are hidden. Subwoofer is depending on the type you want to use due to no trunk on the truck. Recommend a sealed box due to deeper bass (make sure your amp is capable in 1 to 2 OHM load, depending on how many subs and load rating and connection you use to hook them up. Again use name brand amp. hope this help and good luck. Crutchfiel can also provide you direction and the size of speaker that will fit on your truck.

my ford f150 is making a very loud screetching noise. I took off the belt and checked all of my pullys and found that the power steering pully is very tight and hard to turn. Auto part store says i need to know weather its standerd or metric but they couldnt tell me how to find out.
A: After you pull it off, take it into the parts store and then can put a micrometer on the shaft and match it up for you.

A: yep follow the RED cable from the batterys it should be passenger side below the exhaust-manifold , follow the pipe down almost to the ground. also make sure you don’t have another problem like a dead battery or loose or dirty cables.

A: There are probably two screws on the carburator. One is to adjust the air/fuel mixture, and the other one is to adjust the idle speed. Find these screws. But it is hard to tell which screw is which, right? So now you have to use the “trial and error” method. So, try adjusting one screw at a time, to see what happens. But remember (or else mark) the original position of each screw, before you monkey with it. This way, you can change it back to the original position if you don’t have good results.
