Q: How to make 2008 dodge charger key work?
I was trying to figure out how to make a 2008 charger key work for a 2006 charger. And what to do to make it work..? It doesn’t have to start the car, just lock and unlock the doors
A: You can’t control both cars with one key fob, each key fob is program with different codes and once a key is programed to a certain car it is permanent it could not be erased or transfered.
Q: where can I find assembly instructions for a 1968 Dodge Charger?
I need instrutions on the basic assembly of a 68′ Charger, even online downloads of model instructions will work. Also been looking for parts for the car, I have nothing, all answers appreciated.
A: Scale model instructions will not help you. Consult a local auto body repair shop or surf eBay for a hard copy or a CD ROM. Just type in the car info and search what they have. Hemmings Motor News is also a good source. They also have a web site to search print ads. You can subscribe to he print copy. Try also Year One Inc, in Georgia. They too have a web site. Try to search for Mopar Restoration business on the web.
Q: Whats your personal experience with the dodge charger srt8? Can it glue you to the seat?
Hi, just want your personal experience on how quick the charger srt8 is, i’ve seen youtube videos, but i want to hear from someone who drove it. Thanks
A: we got two of them right now on the car lot we own and neither one will actually glue you to the seats like the older cars would, they run real good but lack the feel of the old muscle cars,i got a 67 plymouth GTX 440 car that will literally put you back in the seat and hold you their all the way through fourth gear, the charger runs good but keep in mind its weight and size of it,for what it is it does real good though and some of the videos you see are done on modified engines, hope this helps some.
Q: What seat tracks can i put on a 1974 Dodge Charger?
so i have almost finished my project car and i having a hard time finding affordable seat tracks for my 74 Charger. any suggestions?
ok i looking into putting in two bucket seats in my charger, only i need to find seat tracks that fit, are there other cars that share the same fitting?
A: your asking about the tracks but you haven’t mentioned what seats you want too use in it,most any track from a charger will fit it,first tel us what seats your going to use on it,good luck.
Q: What is the MPG for 1973 Dodge Charger?
What is the MPG on the different engines (unmodified) for the 1973 Dodge Charger?
A: what engine,? they had a few different ones the used in those and it would help to know that, i checked and on avergae most of those cars got between 13 and 18 miles to the gallon, and that was with the 318 option as an engine, good luck.
Q: How much would window tinting cost on a dodge charger ?
I just recently purchased A 2008 dodge changer and I wanted to get the windows tinted I just need to know how much I am going to be looking at spending on this?
A: the average cost on doing it now is about 150 bucks, and make sure ever who does it gives you a warranty on it,some places that do it now don’t offer a good warranty on their work, good luck.
Q: Does my Dodge Charger SRT8 HAVE to use 91 octane?
I am getting a SRT8 Charger and I have read that the recommended fuel is the 91 octane. Will it screw up my engine to run 87 or even run 87 with octane booster? My truck has 10.1 compression and runs great on 87. THe SRT Hemi is only 9.8 or there about.
A: not reccomend but required. the car is tuned for it and because of that wont run properly without 91+ octane.
Octane boost doesnt help much unless you put in a few bottles every fill up.
and your compression has nothing to do with it its all about timing.
when your fuel combusts

Q: what is the red dot in a dodge charger 2007?
I went out to start my charger and it started but cut out right away so I tried again and again it would start but cut out after a few seconds now the car has a red dot flashing and when I turn the key nothing but the lights work the radio works, Please can anyone help me. I just bought the car at the auction it was a Police Charger 3.5L.
A: You have ‘offended’ the security system. You will need an automotive locksmith to come out or tow it to a dealer to correct it.
Q: Would a 84′ Dodge Charger that has 125000m on it and need either a new clutch or transmission be worth it?
I posted a question about an 84 charger already but it turns out it needs either a new clutch or a whole new transmission. I probably have enough money to buy the car but to change trany or clutch would cost even more. Need input!!!
A: Many of these cars have transaxle issues (A-525) they are rather weak and tend to lose the differential bearings, then break the pinion shaft or worse break the case, if it’s stuck in gear and will not come out, or makes grinding noises, it is likely the trans has failed. If you choose to go with a newer transaxle ( A-520 or A-555) you will need axles from an Omni (89-90) shift cables, shift assembly, brackets etc. best to find a donor car and rob it of all the hardware. this mod is not for the novice, and would likely cost you a lot if a shop would even consider it, but it is the way to go if you really want a trans to last in it.
Q: 1974 dodge charger wont start?
my 1974 dodge charger wont start. it turns over and i narrowed it down to spark. from the coil to the dist. it only sparks every five seconds or so. the ballast resistor is good and so is the dist cap and and rotor.
A: check the wiring harness that goes to the distributor, those was bad to get dry rotted and cause that too happen, my brother in law has one he bought brand new and it has done that a few times before, the only thing left would be the pick up in the distributor, they go bad and cause a real weak spark to occur, good luck with it.
Q: How is the 2007 Dodge Charger?
Im looking into buying a 2007 Dodge Charger. I was wondering what everyone who has owned ones opinion is on this car? How does it drive? Is it good on gas? How do you guys like it?
A: their really good cars to own and drive, my neighbor owns one that i have drove to michigan countless times before and it runs and drives extremely well,we go to some car sales up their once on a while and we always take his charger for this,it rides 4 people real comfortable and that’s usually how many people we take with us in case we buy a few cars, good luck.
Q: What do you think about woman in a Dodge Charger?
I just purchased a new Charger and I’m getting alot of stares, why?
A: I would star at a Black Lesbian in a charger also, that is hot!
Q: Is a 2008 dodge charger with 26,000 miles on it a good car to buy?
They want 16,000 for it. And how many miles can a charger engine take before it begins to have problems. I have a 2002 altima with 90,000 miles and it still runs good. Any answer at all will be helpful. Thanks in advance
A: which engine? if it’s the V6, pass. they don’t hold up well over time, and the excess weight of that car stresses them out more. however, the V8 versions tend to hold up extremely well over time, if you can afford the gas. if it’s a V8, I’d buy it.
Q: Would a 2007 dodge charger rt with a cold air intake destroy a wrx sti with 24lbs of boost in a race?
One of my friends who has a charger said he can keep up with almost anything on the road after he put a cold air intake & cat back exhaust on his car. He said it gave him around an 80hp gain over stock… anyone agree?
A: You’ve already got some good answers. I’ll supply the exact numbers. I give nothing to the cold intake — a few who-cares HP at best. I don’t know about the cat back, but I’m guessing it’s less than 80 HP — possibly a lot less. That said, I’ll pick a 2010 Subaru STI, because you didn’t say what year (It makes almost no difference anyway).
The cars:
2007 Dodge Charger R/T: 5.7 L V8, 340 HP, 390 lb-ft torque, 5 speed auto tranny, 4289 lbs http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2006/09/29/023532.html
2010 Subaru STI: 2.5 L H4, 305 HP, 290 lb-ft torque, 6 speed manual, 3395 lbs http://autos.aol.com/cars-Subaru-Impreza+WRX+STi-2010/specs/
The math:
Dodge = 12.61 lbs/HP Subie = 11.13 lbs/HP
Clearly the obese Dodge is in trouble from a dead start. While the Dodge’s lockup torque converter helps, it doesn’t help as much as the Subie’s AWD does, starting from zero. The Dodge has 34% more torque, but weighs (894 pounds!) 26% more than the Subaru. That’s about a draw. The Subaru is faster off the line, especially if the Dodge driver uses too much foot and ‘burns’ the two (2) rear tires.
Let’s assume about 125 mph as the 1/4 mile is hit. The Subaru is in 4th (or 5th?) gear and the Dodge is probably in 5th (top). The Subie has an advantage here too. Way down the straight pavement the Dodge might catch the Subie, but it’s going to take miles, if it ever happens.
On a road course the STI will eat the huge, top-heavy Dodge alive. Subaru all the way. The truth is, the Dodge “muscle car” hasn’t enough muscle to really haul its weight.
There are all sorts of cars on the road that can beat either of these. How about a Porsche GT2 RS at 3,150 pounds with 620 HP? A Corvette ZR1 at 3,333 pounds and 638 HP? The 2011 AWD Porsche Turbo S (530 HP, 7 speed auto, PDK, tranny) hits 60 mph in 3.1 seconds, easily beating the ZR1’s 3.4 seconds, and making the Dodge and Subie look like they’re standing still.
