Q: Diffrence between a base RSX and the new CIVIC Si?
I have a 04 rsx base model 160 hp 141 tq etc.The new Civic Si has 197 hp and 131 tq….anyway, they use the same K20a3 engine. Everything is the exact same execpt one is auto and one is manual. So can some one tell me why the civic Si is so much faster than the rsx? And can i take my car to the service department and acutally get the stuff changed around to make it that fast?
A: no they use different engines they new si uses the k20a3 which has 197hp..base rsx uses the k20a2 which has 160hp that is the engine difference

I want to get a Honda civic SI but they are all out of stock in my area. I’m wondering about how long should I expect to wait for them to get it from the manufacturer? I’m getting a stock Si with no accessories.
A: Probably a month or two, considering they aren’t in extremely high demand at the moment. However, have you considered asking your dealer to try to locate one within the network of new car dealers? This may be faster than ordering one from the factory, provided they can find what you are looking for.
Q: Has Honda fixed the 3rd gear problem on the new Civic Si?
I am looking to purchase a new or slightly used vehicle. I have always owned either Honda or Toyota and I am looking for a vehicle similar to the Si. I have looked at the VW GTI as well and I am on the fence about which one would be the better purchase.

My boyfriend just bought his first new car, a black Honda Civic Si. He really loves taking care of his car and since his birthday along with nice weather is just around the corner, I wanted to get him a nice complete set of car washing products. Can anyone tell me what I should get him? I’m completely clueless!
A: As far as washing products, all of them are about the same soap wise, but if he wants it to really shine, tell him to get Turtle Wax Express shine. It is great and requires no hard rubbing and buffing. I used to have a 2003 Impala and it gleamed.
Q: Hmmm, I want to sell my ‘02 rsx base, should I get an ‘04 S2000 or a new Civic Si coupe?
I saw an ad for an ‘04 S2K with 17,000 miles for $17,000. A new Si will run me close to $25,000 with tax & dealer fees. What would get if you wanted to get a nice 2 door car?
A: First off, Id say Si sedan if you wanted the new car. I have an ‘09 sedan and love it. Especially after owning coupes for 5 years. As far as your S2000. That’s AP2. You want it to have throttle cable too. Some AP2s have cable and some have drive-by-wire. DBW has slower acceleration and is less responsive. Should check out www.s2ki.com for more input. A: It doesn’t matter what kind of vehicle you drive, to make any vehicle better you always can add parts to it, some are more expensive then others to fix up, also it depends on what you are looking for, performance, handling, all out speed, etc. and having a good driver definately makes a difference.
I don’t believe any vehicle manufacturer can say their vehicle is all that.

A: Can you drive stick? S2000 doesn’t have an auto, not standard or as an option. The S2000 is an impractical, pure sports car. If you want to primarily carry people or things, go for the Civic. If you can deal with the rougher ride and less practicality, then go for the S2000. Very different cars for very different purposes.

A: wow, those are really on opposite ends of the spectrum. People who have Honda’s seem to love them. I had one for a short time but didn’t like it. The GM V8 engines are solid, so I don’t think reliability will be a determining factor here. You should really just get what you want. The GTO looks really nice and is a little less common. Are you more comfortable with rear wheel drive or front? I personally like RW drive. Do you have to deal with snow during the winter months? if so a Front wheel drive might be better. (Unless your like me and love the power slides!) Also the SI will get better gas mileage, something to consider for when the price goes back up. It’s really going to be about which style of car you like best, American muscel? or Import tuner?
Q: Used s2000 or New Civic SI?
I’ve got a budget of around 20-25k and I’m trying to decide on whether I should get slightly used s2000 or go brand new and get a Civic Si Coupe.
A little information I’m about 6″ 250. 22 and about to graduate from college and single 
. I don’t plan on carrying too many passengers and I live in moderate climate (VA) with little or no snow.
I really like the s2000 but is it practical enough for driving around town and to work?
A: whatever you do stay away from the civic. if ur in a civic you might get refered to as a ricer and if you dont know what it is go to urban dictionary and look it up.

reliable
well built

lacks torque
you should by a GTI or a R32, drive one and you’ll see what i mean

Q: How hard is it to buy a EPB 2000 Civic SI around New York? Ive been looking and only found a few.?
A: They are almost impossible to find around here. When you do find one you have to buy QUICK. I have a friend selling his 98 EX that looks just like the 2000 Si has the f+r lip and side skirts from the Si, Si rims, but has a B18c1 GSR rather than the b16a2. He is asking $6200 OBO. Im in upstate near lake george if you are interested
