I have 100,000 miles on the enigne and every once in awhile the engine seems to start to smoke. i also would like a new engine so it can actually go faster thn i already goes

hey I am 18 and bought my self a new CTS i have the money for the rims,but I am not sure if i should gte them,what does everybody think?
A: There are many options out there for you to choose from. Keep in mind that larger rims will require lower profile tires which will mean a slightly rougher ride. Also putting non GM wheels on may void warranty and throw off your speedometer.

Hello!
I am looking to purchase a new CTS. However, I am undecided about what transmission I should get?! I travel a lot and in the winter will be traveling in the snow. The dealer told me the RWD would be fine in the snow due to the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system they now have. He said the AWD version is just basically a fancy ABS system. Does anyone out there have a CTS with the RWD?? Please let me know how it drives in the snow…I need an expert opinion! Thank you very much to taking the time to read and respond to my questions!
A: RWD cars cannot drive in snow even with traction control.
You will not be able to move the car at all.
RWD cars are impossible to drive in snow and slippery in rain evern with stability control or traction control.
You need AWD. AWD is when all 4 wheels are powered by the engine.
ABS is when you step on the brakes and they lock up. ABS keeps them from locking up., but it will not help in snow.
Q: Camaro vs. Cadillac CTS Coupe, Which one?
i’m 17 right now and i know my choices will change within the next year but right now i’m really focused on the new CAMARO and the Cadillac CTS Coupe but i have 2 problems.
1) i can’t get my car until my birthday(long story) which is at the end of next year.
2) the Cadillac CTS Coupe don’t come out until about the middle of next year so it may b 2 high but i don’t care……..
anyways…..What should i pick?????

A: You realize that GM’s bankrupt, right? The Camaro will likely still come out, but don’t hold your breath for the CTS coupe. This being said, they’re both essentially gonna be the same car. If your goal is performance, the Camaro is the obvious choice. It’s gonna weigh less, and have the same or more power. If you’re more into impressing your friends or whatever, maybe the Caddy is the way to go.
Of course, if you really wanna go fast, your money would be better spent on an older car. You should see the looks my buddy gets from middle-aged Corvette Z-06 owners when he rips them a new one in his ‘86 Camaro with peeling paint. Hehehe…

A: pick up the neon tubes for a auto parts store, or wherver you want, hook those up, then go to radio shack and buy a flip switch to control them of when you want them to turn on and off, then screw it under your dash, or on your main head dash. should be a sweet hook up, although ive never dealt with neons, so i couldnt tell you how to hook em up, but im sure they probably just hook onto your battery or somewhere.
Q: My 2005 Cadillac CTS check engine light comes on sometimes, what could be the problem?.?
My car has approximately 60,000 miles. My mechanic put the computer on it but could not get a good read because the check engine light does not stay on. When it does come on, the car shakes a little bit. It suggests it could be fuel injectors. A month ago when this happened, it was the oxygen sensor. What could this new problem be?

Well, im looking for a new car at the moment and have some one looking at car auctions in Detroit for me. Originally I was going to go for something more conventional a Camry, but with this recall Toyota is having who knows when i will be able to get one, and id rather not be driving around a vehicle that could potentially cause a crash. So I know my other choices are a whole nother league of cars lol…but I have 20,000 i want to spend….so my choices are a 2009 Nissan Maxima ( I had an 04 maxima and totaled it a little over a year ago) a 2008 Cadillac CTS (ive heard amazing things, but ive also heard repairs can be quite expensive and everything in the cabin of the car squeeks a lot? maybe im wrong) and a 2007 Infinti G35( I have also heard amazing things about this car)
So before I talk to other people what are your thoughts on these cars? Personal experiences? Repair costs? Gas Mileage? and I know this might be out of reach but can anyone give me some thoughts on the insurance costs for these cars? Im almost 21 and have 1 3 point ticket on my record which will be off when I turn 21. But I wont be paying for my own insurance until im 22. So if its possible give me some thought on that? Thanks a ton, I know its rather lengthy!
A: I would not purchase any of these vehicles if you are under 21.
Your insurance will be insane, especially with points on your license, and it isn’t worth buying a status car that could jeopardize your potential future when you add maintenance cost plus payment amounts.
The Camry would have been ok, but I wouldn’t trust it, now.
How about a Honda Accord?
Q: Cadillac CTS vs Infiniti G35?
i am interested in buying a new car but i cant decide between the Cadillac CTS and Infiniti G35(coupe). I like that the cadillac has 5 seats compared to the infiniti which only has 4 seats. The deciding factors are which one looks better and which car is more reliable (performance). Ive always liked sports cars and the infiniti is a sports car but ive wanted a cadillac my whole life unfortunately they dont make cadillac sports cars which more than 2 seats and i need a car with at least 4 seats but i prefer 5. I think they take up the same amount of gas but if one takes up less than the other than thats also a deciding factor. so which car is better the cadillac or the infiniti??
A: G35. The Infiniti is a Nissan. Therefore it is Japanese design and construction. Reliability and efficiency are the trademarks of Japanese vehicles whether the Toyota or the Lexus, or in this case the Nissan or the Infiniti.
The Infiniti G35 has a new design and has one of the most attractive looks for all sedans and coupes sold in America. The CTS is nice but does not compare in classiness. G35

A: Stay away from her. do not let a women mess up a work environment. If she does get the nerve to tell you how she feels and after she has broken up with her sugar daddy and if your work allows dating then you can consider going out with the hot girl.

What do you think, I want to buy a cadillac cts but i have heard that they are piece of sh*t. I want to know if that is true? Well I am confussed. I want to buy a car that is like nice but not like expensive like above 35,000. And of course I am not talking about a new car but a used car. What should i get? What do you recommend me? And the car years would be like 2003-up.
A: DON’T BUY A CADDY!!! Trust me! I have had three Cadillacs, and they are by far the nicest, most luxurious cars on the road with the best ride and performance, BUT, they are pieces of shit. I had so many headaches with my Cadillacs, because they have so many engineering flaws. I know other people with the same problems. I find it hard to beleive that those problems have gone away for the 2006 model year. You’re much better off buying a Lexus or an Acura.. they’re not as nice as the Cadillac, but much more reliable.
Here are the Cadillacs that I’ve had, and their relaibility issues:
1983 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham – had a well-known poor designed engine that would blow easily. The air ride broke so I had to keep filling it with air manually weekly in an air fill that I addded. Additionally, every other little thing broke in it all the time.
1979 Cadillac Eldorado- Well known major design flaw in the fuel injection and computer system. The car constantly would break down. I sold it to some kid and he replaced the computer and fuel injectors with a carburator, and then it finally ran ok. Plus lots of electrical problems and other little reliability issues too.
1994 Cadillac Sedan Deville – My head gasket leaked air into the system, causing the heater core to have bubbles in it, causing no heat. This happened multiple times before we figured out what was wrong, and it was going to cost almost $2,000 to fix. This is a well known common problem with these cars. I also had oil leak and oil burning problems. Although this car had less general reliability issues than my other two, it still had more than an expensive car should.
Bottom line – Cadillacs have gotten better than they used to be, reliability wise, but they still have their share of issues that Japanese luxury cars don’t. I was going to trade my 94 Caddy in for a 2001 Deville, but my friend at the Cadillac dealer told me that they have a pistion problem where the pistions aren’t 100% big enough (by a microscopic amount) that causes them to burn a few quarts of oil between oil changes because oil leaks through.
